Dead Island Trailer Will Leave You Crying in a Corner in the Fetal Position

This is the trailer for some game named, obviously, Dead Island.  I don't know what the game is about other than, obviously, zombies.  At this point, I don't care.  All I know is I'm thoroughly intrigued.  I mean, look at this dang thing!  No, it doesn't show any gameplay or any specs about the game, so it's not a good indication of how good the game actually is.  Doesn't matter.  If the point of a trailer is to get the audience interested, intrigued, or at least talking about a product, then this is a smashing success.  Smashing, I say!

It is an amazingly beautiful 3 minutes.  If you watch this and find yourself quickly disturbed by it, good.  That means you're human and not a zombie.  Wait, are zombies still technically human, just undead, zombie-fied versions?  Whatever.  Anyway.  Yes, it's unsettling and elicits a gut reaction emotional response.

Art tends to do that.  Yeah, I said it.  Art.  And since I'm pretty sure Roger Ebert doesn't read this blog, I feel safe saying that.

Now go give someone in your family a great big hug.  Cause after watching that trailer, you know you want to.
