The Shield Did it Better

Pride and Glory is a movie about police corruption in the NYPD. It stars Colin Farrell and Edward Norton, so you know it's good. It's a decent murder mystery/corruption drama thriller thing. And I think Jon Voight is in it.

The thing is, and this is true for all "dirty cop" movies out there now: The Shield already did it. And they did it so much better. Better than these movies can ever hope to possibly being. With, of course, maybe the exception of The Departed.

In any case, after the exploits of Vic Mackey and crew, everything else seems tame.

Oh yeah, this is supposed to be about Pride and Glory. It's not great, but it's not too bad.

6/10 Toddsperience.

Oh yeah, and what's with the whole family of cops in New York sub-genre going on lately? First We Own the Night and now Pride and Glory. What's up with that?
